Sony BMG in Australia has been inviting Michael Jackson fans to compile the Australian edition of "Michael Jackson: King of Pop". Starting June 21st, 2008, you had 3 weeks to vote for your 5 favourite songs on the specially created website mj50.com.au. While submitting your vote online you could add a birthday message for Michael - a selection of which are forever immortalized as part of the limited edition album artwork!

The Australian Edition of 'King Of Pop' is the first Australian fan-driven album of its kind. It contains the top tracks chosen from Michael's Australian fans, plus rare tracks from Michael's career and a never before released track plus a brand new "MegaMix" from the legendary Jason Nevins.

'King Of Pop' - Australian Edition is released in two editions. The first is a limited edition digi-pak that will feature selected voters names and messages by the fans and a special fold-out poster that follows Michael through his illustrious musical career. The second edition is a standard release of the album without the poster.

Sony BMG Austria  teamed up with Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung to let fans for their favorite Michael Jackson tracks to be included on the 2 CD set 'King Of Pop' Austrian Edition.

On the web site of the Kronen Zeitung you could listen to the tracks  and then vote for your favorite songs from a collection of 100 songs.

Additionally you could win 3 limited edition Michael Jackson iPods.

Belgium

Hungary

Hungarian fans could vote for their favourite Michael Jackson tracks on this special web site, choosing from a list of 50 songs. The 16 songs with the most votes were included on the Hungarian edition of the album 'King Of Pop.'

India

Sony BMG India partnered with ibibo.com to roll out the Indian version of 'Michael Jackson KING OF POP'. The double CD collection was availabl in stores by January 2009 and is a special selection of Michael Jackson songs collectively voted by community members of ibibo.com. Additionally the best moon walkers were selected by the Ibibo community along with Sony BMG and could win Lap tops and iPods.
