You made every corner of the world feel special, Michael!

I remember coming back home every day from school and blasting MJ's songs on my stereo and dancing silly around the house. I was 12 and going crazy over 'Thriller', a hit that took the entire planet by storm in 1982. During my primary school days, when life was not that well-off, it would be next to impossible to get a cassette tape costing more than $10, if not for the hard saving from my daily pocket money. Finally managed to bring the cassette tape home which kept me company throughout those not-too-short growing years, I never felt alone, and became the enlightenment in my acquaintance with the western music. Looking back, it's funny how childhood can have the biggest reflection on one's life. He made me one happy kid when I bought his Thriller cassette tape and that was the first cassette I ever bought.

His songs touched our hearts in special ways and in an individual way. He stretched us with his resonant music, larger than life short films, iconic moonwalk, record-shattering, gave us chills watching his phenomenal performances...oh and by the way my favourite was - Dangerous at MTV Awards 1995 and Live at Super Bowl XXVII 1993! He was super duper awesome! His musical gift was exceptional, his lyrical phrasing was impeccable, his on stage presence was magical and his imitators will continue for generations. He gave us so much more than that. He was much more than an entertainer.

He gave us an opportunity through his music to heal from the worldwide wounds inflicted by racial prejudice, injustice, oppression and allowed us to view each other as just human beings trying to traverse this vast world system, to help the unfortunates especially the CHILDREN and most of all to just LOVE one another despite our differences in race, religion, beliefs and upbringing, as he reminded us again and again that a world built on love is a much happier world to live in. Apart from his extraordinary gifted talent, Michael was a noted generous humanitarian who shared his considerable wealth across the globe. He did not turn away from those in need.. out of love, not for fame.

Regardless of what people think of him which I could not possibly care any less than I do, he was completely revolutionary. He's touched so many lives and inspired millions. He gave up fear, think above and beyond, and did not afraid to let his light shine in its fullness. Though he is gone but definitely not forgotten as he will live in our hearts forever.

Since the time I first heard the news, I felt a great sadness from somewhere deep within. I will never stop loving and listening to you, Michael. I really did not know just how much I loved Michael until he was no longer here. You know how you think someone will always be with you, that is how I felt about Michael and his passing made my spirit very weepy. I have hardly been able to stop crying since I learned of his passing. I had no idea his death would affect me so deeply and I still try to comprehend why this man (a man I have never met) had a huge impact on me....I think it will take a while before I can get used to the idea that he is no longer with us.

His death felt personal to me and to millions of others. Like a stone thrown into a lake, the reverberations of grief expanded in ever-widening circles across the globe. The world mourns the loss of THE greatest entertainer of all time. There is no doubt that Michael Jackson was loved by people all over the world!

I am truly honoured to have lived in his time to witness his greatness and magic. Goodbye now my dearest Angel. Till we 'meet' again in the hereafter. May God bless you always. Know that you are in my prayers and THANK YOU for the incredible music. How I wish I could thank you personally for a lifetime of memories. I love you much more!!
