Our beloved Michael Jackson meant different things to different people.  We each have a special memory of Michael Jackson; whether we met him in person, attended one of his concerts, was the beneficiary of his kindness, or, was just an absolute, die-hard fan from afar.

No one can dispute Michael's unsurpassed talent; his musical genius; his thought-provoking lyrics, book and poems; his creativity; his loving, giving heart; his soft, gentle voice; his sweet smile; his sensitive soul; his tireless, humanitarian efforts; his philanthropic causes; his extremely, generous contributions to charities, to the poor and less privileged; and, the list goes on and on.

Michael Jackson, throughout his life, received numerous awards honoring and recognizing him for his great feats in music.  He was truly humbled in demeanor and in speech.  He always made sure to thank God for allowing him the talent, ability and affordability to accomplish his dreams.

To some, Michael is best known for his many songs, dance videos and concerts.  His constant, humbled, shyness and soulful gratitude to us, his fans, was accented by the words he always used to say, "I love you from the bottom of my heart."   That simple and sincere statement made us love him even more.

Most of the World is familiar with Michael's genius.  Whether or not you are a fan, when you heard the name, "Michael," it did not take long for most to know the "Michael" being referred to.  Michael Jackson knew his name meant something; not in a conceited way, but, in a good way.  Yes, he loved to write, sing, dance and maybe tour for his fans, but, that was Michael, the entertainer.

Michael Jackson, the caring person, took his name, 'synonymous' with his music legend, and began a life-long mission to promote the recapture of our Earth and its people---all races, creeds, young and old.  He became effortless in reaching and attaining his goals to educate this World, whom he loved dearly, by penning many, deep, soul-searching, thought-provoking, heart breaking lyrics accompanied by haunting acoustics and video.

He continued to volunteer and to give charitably in his name, and, also anonymously to many, many charities world-wide.  He strived globally to spread a message of hope, harmony, health, and well-being.  He succeeded many times.

Michael was recognized by Presidents, World Dignitaries and Leaders, Government Officials, Military Troops and many others.  He was able to do what some artists and even dignitaries could not do-------Unite.

He "changed the world to make it a better place."  Cliche aside, that was Michael Jackson's motto.  He lived it.  He always promoted Peace and Love.  He pushed the bar; gave himself and the world many challenges to look at ourselves and our Mother Earth.  In some sense, Michael was able to "move mountains."

The World then assigned Michael Jackson a new title, "Humanitarian."   I do believe, that despite all adoration of his music and the titles bestowed upon him, starting from when he was that little five-year old boy to present day; the "Humanitarian" title meant the most to Michael.  You could see his beautiful eyes light up.  He would smile sweetly and gently nod acknowledgment.

I choose to remember Michael Jackson in this way-------the human.

I have been a life-long fan because Michael and I "grew up" together.  I did not know him personally but, he was a part of my life for decades; since I am very close in age to Michael.  His music was all around me for every event in my life.

I was a typical little girl watching the Jackson 5 cartoons; becoming a young, devoted teen with a crush; blossoming into a young woman dancing in clubs to his hit songs "wishing I could meet Michael;" and then, venturing into a woman who still loved his songs and videos, yet found new appreciation, meaning and purpose of his newer and deeper lyrics.

I saw Michael only as a person.  Regardless of his music accomplishments which I enjoy and applaud; Michael Jackson had a way to draw you in to him, in to his heart; which made you want to just take him, hold him and never let him go.

When I speak on the outside of Michael Jackson, he will be the greatest entertainer and humanitarian of my lifetime and beyond.

In my heart of hearts, Michael will always be the sweet, shy soul who dared to dream and dared to make it happen.......Michael, I love you more too.......

Always in my heart,
